We finally got to go to our first game at Angels Stadium this season and it didn't disappoint. I had been asking for weeks--literally every week--when we would get to go to Angels Stadium to see Ohtani, Trout, and Albert Pujols quest for 3,000 hits. On Sunday, we finally got to go after church. Christopher got an invitation to Paint My Plate, so he decided to go in that direction, but we got to see multiple home runs, the longest at-bat in history (22 pitches), and had a great time.
This weekend was also filled with the Patrick Henry Foundation 2nd Annual Cornhole Tournament. The whole family helped dad to get the Cornhole boards, trophy, and food ready for the big day which was hosted at a friend's house. They had 14 players and dad took home the trophy for the first time--a giant 64 ounce flask that Grandma Dubby gave him for Christmas--etched with the names of the 2017 & 2018 champions. He was pretty excited.
It was also Open House at school this week and we got to show-off all the projects we have been working-on with our teachers and classmates. In particular, this year was all about the famous explorers which we made out of water bottles and foam balls. My explorer was Marco Polo, which dad and I worked hard to cloth and decorate. Crafts aren't my favorite thing, but it was pretty cool when Marco got done.
