This past week, mom and Aunt Lindsay went to the Dominican Republic for a super fun sister vacation on the island. Actually, Aunt Lindsay won the trip as part of her company Younique and chose mom to go with her. They left on Wednesday night and didn't return until the following Monday! Apparently, it was awesome at the Hard Rock Resort in the DR even after the hurricane that swept through the island a few weeks before.
To help us survive without mom, Grandma Paula came into town to stay with us. We had a great time with Grandma Paula ding all kinds of stuff including going out to breakfast at Mimi's, getting Chinese Food from LV, attending Tyler Huber's 4th birthday party, and singing during the worship service on Sunday morning. Grandma Paula also attended both my football game late Friday night (where we got beat very badly), and took Chris and I to both our soccer games on Saturday (where we had our only tie of the year) because dad went to El Camino Pines all-day Saturday with Grandpa John.
It was a different kind of week having mom gone for so long but we survived just fine. The house is still very much a construction mess but they are making progress and say they will be done before Christmas!
