He is Risen! But Mom is Not (week 535)

This Easter was as exciting as always--the Easter Bunny hopped through the Carfax neighborhood, our baskets were full of great treats, we went to Bay Shore, and I found the Golden Egg at Ron & Karen's Annual East Egg Hunt--but something was missing. The night before, Mom got some sort of food poisoning and couldn't join us for any of the action.  While Jesus raised from the dead, Mom was stuck in bed.  We missed her all day long!

It was still a great Easter Weekend.  We got to have a pancake and bacon breakfast with Dad, and we read the entire Easter story from the New Testament in the Book of Mark. Both Chris and I are asking bigger and better questions every year that seem to get Dad tongue tied and result in answers like: you will have to decide for yourself; and, this is what I think, but it comes down to faith.  In any case, we had a great weekend that was also the kickoff to Cousin Camp in San Luis Obispo--and Aunt Andrea and Uncle Josh heading off for New Orleans!
