Palm Sunday: Hosana! (week 534)

This week was Palm Sunday--the triumphant entry of Jesus to Jerusalem.  To celebrate the occasion, the Bay Shore Children's Choir made the triumphant entry to the Church Sanctuary waving our palm fronds and waving to the crowd!  We followed-up our parade with the singing of "Sing Hosana!", a fairly difficult multi-part song that alternated between the boys and the girls of the Children's Choir. 

Even better in my book, Dad took Jackson, Chris and I out for breakfast to Polly's Pies before the morning rehearsal.  We had muffins, pancakes, bacon and scrambled eggs over conversation about how raising chickens can help provide food and lift a village out of poverty.  Our breakfast conversations on the weekends are generally pretty deep because the weekends are the only times that Dad gets to read his books in the morning and he comes-up with all kinds of inspiration to share with us.

Also, Sunday was Tristan's birthday party and the 43rd Grand Prix of Long Beach. Christopher went to the Armstrong's for the afternoon while I went to the Skyzone Bounce Gym for Tristan's birthday--and both Mom and Dad headed downtown for the Grand Prix Finals to watch the Indy Cars race 157 miles around downtown Long Beach.  They said it was an awesome race.  We finished the night with dinner at the Armstrong's.  It was a great weekend.
