Halloween 2015! (week 462)

Halloween came and went this weekend, marking the kickoff of the holiday season in Long Beach.  It felt a little cooler than the 90 and 100 degree days we have been experiencing lately, but it was still about 80 degrees during the day and 70 degrees at night.

This year, Christopher dressed-up as a Magician and I dressed-up as a USC Football Player.  Mom and dad failed to get costumes together for themselves (again), but we had a great time Trick-or-Treating at the Hubers house for another year.  Christopher reported that he secured (104) pieces of candy from friends, family, and neighbors. He was very dedicated to the organization, categorization, and recounting of his candy.  He was probably more dedicated to organizing his candy than he was to eating it.  But, we picked the top (10) candies that we wanted to eat and bagged-up the rest for the Switch Witch who is committed to trading candy for toys.

We also both had sports this weekend--Christopher with baseball and soccer for me. Christopher has been playing Fall Ball on Sunday mornings with the Shetland Black team, and has been hitting the ball well.  This week, he hit the ball off the coach-pitch (as opposed to having to use the tee), both times he was up to bat.  He also played some 3rd base and stuck a great ground ball with his mitt and threw the ball to 1st.
