A Normal Week and Lots of Football (week 460)

The middle of October was pretty normal for us.  Chris continued down the path toward Chess Master, even trying to write a book about it using the computer and creating a Word Document titled "Chess Master".  Nate Huber and I, on the other hand, began our Coding class at Patrick Henry.  We work on our games using "Scratch" to program people and our cat to do different things.

My buddy Dylan and I have also been getting into football--at least the dressing-up in pads, uniforms (Seahawks and USC), and tackling each other in the backyard.  Dylan is really my only close buddy that likes to do that sort of thing so we will go back and forth in our tiny yard kicking-off and crashing into each other until it either gets dark or our mom's make us stop. Mom and Dad say that it is fine to play football in the backyard but they also say that Chris and I will never make it to the actual football field where people are ruining their brains by bashing their helmets into one another.

Speaking of football, it is another terrible season for the Trojans.  Our coach Steve Sakisian melted down before the season by getting drunk and saying terrible things at an alumni function.  Then, the Trojans got beat by his old team Washington and by Stanford.  From ranked in the top 3 at one point, they fell flat for another painful season.  Even worse, Sarkisian disappeared and then got fired.  Now, after Kiffin, Odgeron, Helton, and Sarkisian...we are back to an interim coach Helton again!
