Cousin David and Lianne got married this weekend in Kauai. Unfortunately for us kids, only the parents got to get on the plane and fly to the island for the ceremony. Fortunately for us, Grandma Dubby and Aunt Pat came out from Long Island to stay with us and we had a blast.

Dubby and Pat landed on Wednesday night and stayed with us for 5 days! Although we had record temperatures in Long Beach hitting 100 degrees, and we had soccer games in the blazing sun, and we had to go to school during the day, we had an awesome time.
We did everything that we love to do: eat at In-N-Out, go bowling, play Nintendo Wii, watch movies, and go to the aquarium. And although Chris got a case of the Coxsackie virus (and we had to go to the doctor), it was a blast. Whenever our parents called from Hawaii to check-in, we either didn't want to talk or didn't have time to talk with them because we were having such an awesome time. Since I am the oldest, it was my job to give directions when we were driving, to help explain Chris's symptoms to Doctor Quan, and to make sure that everything was done right. Although we wore each other out, we had a great time with our Grandma Dubby and Aunt Pat, and can't wait to see them again soon.
Mom and Dad also had a great time at the wedding which was at the Waimea Plantation on Kauai. They stayed at Poipu Beach and snorkled, kayaked, hiked, swam, ate pupu, poke and shave ice, and explored the island. They said that we are going to go back someday soon as a family so that we could see all of the beautiful fishes that live in Hawaii. Also there for the wedding were Grandma Paula, Grandpa Mike, Aunt Andrea, the Westbergs, and many other family members. Everyone had a good time both in Hawaii and in California. It was a nice break for everyone to do things a little differently, think about what was important, and to come back together after time away.
Although Chris continued to fight through his Coxsackie virus, he got to stay home from school all week. Thank you Grandma Dubby and Aunt Pat for staying with us!
