Happy Mother's Day! (week 386)

We have the best mommy in the world.   She is always there for us to take us to the doctor or practice; makes us eat good food; takes us to neat places like museums, aquariums, and Knott's; volunteers at our schools; lets our friends come over to play; and tells jokes with us.

This weekend, we celebrated Mommy's  8th Mother's Day.  We made her cards last weekend so that there wouldn't be as much pressure on us Sunday morning.  We placed them on Daddy's pillow so that she would find them when she woke-up in the morning for bagels, lox, coffee, and a beautiful day in Long Beach.  For the day, we made our phone calls to grandmas, and went to the beach at Bayshore to play in the sand, eat lunch on our blanket, and relax. Actually, while Mommy and Daddy read their magazines and took naps, Chris and I didn't relax at all...running up and down the beach, in and out of the water, and carrying buckets of sand and water back and forth.  By the end of the day, Chris was exhausted and asleep on the couch before we could even eat dinner.  For lunch, Mommy chose deli sandwiches, and we got pizza from Belmont Shore.  For dinner, we picked-up food from the India and I even ate the lamb curry!  All in all, mommy said she had a good day doing the things that she loves to do.

Chris and I both ended the regular season for baseball this week as well.  The Rangers wrapped things up on Saturday against the Yankees.  He suddenly took an interest in hitting whiffle balls with Daddy and me, and is hitting the ball like crazy now.  The Red Sox finished up with a win against the Reds who beat us earlier in the season, and finished the season at 11-5.  Playoffs start tomorrow, so we are pretty excited.

It was a super busy Saturday.  In addition to the two baseball games, I did my second week of chores cleaning the patios; the whole family volunteered (dropping off fliers and signs in our neighborhood); a team party at Cirevello's; a panel discussion with USC Alumni; a USC networking event; and friend Doug coming to visit.

On Thursday night, Daddy got the "Diamond Award" from GPAC at USC.  I don't know what that means, but he was pretty grateful.
