Baby Nina and Baby Eliana Rose (week 385)

This was another week of family, fun, parties, and babies!  On Monday, we kept the Spring Break going with a visit to Hollywood to see Uncle Mark, Aunt Leah and baby Nina.  We got to go to the pool and see the Ripley's Believe it or Not Museum.  It was crazy! All of our questions about the biggest, tallest, and weirdest things in the world were answered in one place just up the road in Hollywood.  Who would have guessed.  We also got to see the Walk of Stars for the first time, and had a blast (while Daddy was at work).  

Although we finally had to go back to school this week, we ended the week with another nail biter.  This time the Red Sox took on the Indians.  I got the start for the second straight game and struck our five in two innings.  I gave up a walk and a run, but also got an RBI and a run scored.  We ended up holding off the Indians 5-4 to get our 10th win of the year (even though I got hit by pitch again)!  The coolest part was that Great Grandma Betty, Grandpa John and Grammy, and Mark, Leah, Nina were all at the game!  It was amazing to have my family there cheering. 

Saturday started with chores.  I guess when you reach 7 years old you are expected to chip-in and pull your weight around the house.  In any case, I now have to help out with the yard and cleaning both porches every Saturday morning.  This involves a lot of sweeping, blowing, and even some mowing.  It is hard work and every time that I think that I am done, Daddy finds another pile of dust or spider webs to vacuum or sweep.  The good thing about Saturday was that it ended with parties.  Emma turned 4 this week, so we had a big party at the Armstrongs with bounce houses, food, and tons of fun.  We also got to spend lots of time with our cousin Nina and our family.

On Sunday, Daddy and Jeff fixed the fence in the backyard which had fallen over in the recent winds. Actually Daddy blames the shoddy craftsmanship (he built it) from the original construction which led to wood rot and the posts falling over.  Jeff and Daddy were able to clean out the old footings and get the fence back up in just three hours.  Who would have guessed.  In the afternoon, we went bike riding and spent quality time with Uncle Mark and Aunt Leah while Daddy went to Monrovia to celebrate Cousin Hannah's graduation from Azusa Pacific.

The Keislers added another cousin this weekend.  On Sunday, we got the news that baby Ellieana Rose Vanhoosear (5.6 lbs. 17 1/2 inches) was born at 3:24 am Sunday morning, May 4, 2014 to Cousin Michelle.  We are very happy to hear that we got another baby cousin (and a girl), and very happy to hear that everyone is healthy.  Can't wait for Christmas this year with lots of new babies running around!
