Easter Egg Hunt! (week 381)

The Easter Bunny came to Long Beach a couple weeks before Easter Sunday and boy did he bring some candy!  It was another very busy week at the Keisler household with lots of work, lots of baseball, building Mind Craft, a 50 year-old birthday party, gardening at Patrick Henry, and the first Easter Egg Hunt of the year.  Our bathroom project also took one more step towards completion with the tiling of the shower.  

On Monday we had the best baseball game of the year with a walk-off win over the first place Yankees.  I scored the game winning run from 2nd on a base hit and the Red Sox beat the Yankees 12-11.  On Friday, we had our worst game of the year losing to the lowly Royals in a 1-hitter (on both sides) 3-0.  It was quite the disappointment after our big win.  I pitched great in both games giving up only one run in four innings and striking out 8.  I have been practicing with both the Red Sox ELB Pinto team as well as the U7 Travel Ball team.  

On Saturday morning, we started the day with Christopher's baseball game--the Rangers versus the Yankees.  Chris isn't into the game as much as he is the crowd.  In fact, when it was his turn to hit he was so worried about where Cheryl was (so that she could watch him hit), that his coach had to lead him from on deck to the batters box.  He hit the ball out of the air both times and watched the crowd cheer as he ran down the line to first base.  We also attended the annual egg hunt at the Police Academy.  At first we were reluctant to go because Daddy told us we had to brush out teeth and comb our hair. It turned out to be awesome!  There was so many eggs and so much candy that we filled our buckets and gave it away to our friends and teammates at baseball practice that afternoon.  In the evening, we celebrated Jeff Bowers 50th Birthday and Jeff & Erica's 23rd Wedding Anniversary. They had a taco guy and all kinds of fun at their house.  

We finished the warm weather week with barbecued ribs and baseball on in the backyard at our house. The Armstrong came over as if it was summertime.  Can't wait for school to get out soon!
