I'm 4! The Very Hungry Caterpillar Party (week 362)

After weeks of planning and suspense, the big day finally arrived this Saturday in Long Beach: the Very Hungry Caterpillar 4th Birthday for Christopher Keisler.  Can you believe that Chris has already completed 36 months on the planet?  The day was full of fun and games with a Hungry Caterpillar Cup-cake, all of the foods that the Hungry Caterpillar at in the story, a bounce house, Hungry Caterpillar coloring, and all of Christopher's best friends--hand selected from the Rainbow Class List at St. Luke's Preschool and beyond.  We were super lucky.  First, because Chris got over his strep throat and second, because the weather was perfect after raining for a few days.

Those 4 year-olds were crazy!  They were running around the house and back yard like lunatics!  At times, there were kids literally flying out the front of the bounce house, a giant pillow--and I mean giant pillow chairs involved--fight in the bedroom, and at least a dozen cupcakes laying around that had been licked clean of their green frosting and left behind. The party started at noon but didn't finish until almost 10:00 pm!  Great Grandma Betty, Aunt Kelly, Stacy, Papa, and all of Aunt Leah's sisters, brothers, nieces and nephews also came for the day.

The best part of this week is that Grandma Dubby and Uncle Mark came out from New York to stay with us.  We got to go to Disneyland on Friday while daddy was at work and see all of the Christmas decorations that are now up.  My absolute favorite, which I can't stop talking and asking questions about, was the Tower of Terror.  Absolutely terrifying, there were mirrors where people turned into ghosts and the guy that met us in the elevator was super creepy.  We also loved the Haunted Mansion which is now decorated with Nightmare Before Christmas, and Dubby got soaked on Splash Mountain.  It was an awesome day and I told Uncle Mark how much I loved him taking us there.

In other news, it was great to have the weekend off from baseball and soccer games!  This week we actually got out of practice Thursday and Friday because it actually rain in Long Beach!  For the first time in maybe a year, we didn't have baseball or soccer, games or practices.  Uncle Mark did take me to my basketball practice in Los Alamitos, but it was quick and easy.  With Thanksgiving coming and then Christmas, there is a welcomed break in the action.  Happy Birthday Chris!
