The week following the Baptism was filled with anxiety about the massive storm that was hitting New York and the East Coast and the fun of Halloween. Most of our relatives from the East Coast were still with us through Tuesday night because Hurricane Sandy closed down the airports in New York. Aunt Leah, Lindsay, Linda, and Uncle Mark all got out on a last minute flight and landed as one of the first flights to enter the reopened airport at JFK. The City was hit very hard and a lot of people were effected. Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone as they recover.
There were a lot of families out and about, and a lot of scary decorations and costumes. Our favorite was a house that had a cemetery out front with smoke, scary sounds, and zombies walking around. Christopher had an absolute blast and is still talking about going out each night for trick-or-treating. He has also been drawing lots of scary pictures of ghosts on his Etch A Sketch.
