High Chair? (305)

Chris passed a serious milestone this week when he and Daddy rolled his high chair out to the sidewalk and said goodbye.  With his 3rd birthday only a month away, Christopher officially joined the family at the adult table.  For three days, he wandered around the house moaning and crying out "Where's my high chair?"  It was very sad to see.  He even asked Daddy to buy him a new high chair, but got over it when the new table arrived and he took his new seat.  On the fourth day, he stopped talking about his high chair and has seemingly moved on.

Actually, it was sort of an unplanned event.  In preparation for Chrstopher's big baptism party on the 28th, Mommy decided to put the old dining room table, buffet, and liquor cabinet on Craigslist.  Within a few hours, someone offered to buy the whole set and came in the afternoon to pick it up.  Since we didn't have a new table ordered, the dining room was completely empty for three days until the new table and chairs arrived.  It probably only made the entire experience worse for Christopher since he was also going through the trauma of the missing high chair.

This weekend, Grandma Paula and Grandpa Mike also came to Long Beach to take care of us.  Mommy and Daddy went to Las Vegas without us, so it was up to our grandparents to make us lunches, take us to school, and keep us breathing.  We had a great time eating Grandma toast and going to the bookstore.  We bought a copy of the Lorax and tried to read a little of "A Wrinkle in Time" but it was pretty scary.  I think that everyone had a great time and enjoyed the change.
