With school back in session, soccer leagues kicking, and the holiday season fast approaching the fundraisers are in full effect. Just on Saturday alone, we had to turn-in our fundraising money to the soccer league, attend a school car wash, Walk for the Animals, and decline an invitation to an evening reception at USC.
This week, we went to Pa's Pumpkin Patch for the first time. Groupon had a deal on unlimited ride bracelets so Jackson, Nathan, I and the little siblings stormed the inflatable slides and carnival rides. It was a good sign because it meant that when they start taking down the Halloween rides, they will start putting-up the Tree Farm and Christmas trains soon.
On the Christopher front. Christopher is quickly approaching the last month of his terrible twos. He is the member of the family known most for his passion, affection, and dramatic displays of emotion. But his greatest traits also present some of his greatest challenges. As he approaches his third birthday, the whole family has been enlisted in the task of tempering the tantrums; limiting the number of times he gets up at night after going to bed; reducing the use of "no" and "never" in his vocabulary; and tempering his dependence on Mommy.
