We do appreciate everything that our mother does for us, we aren't great at showing it just yet. This Mother's Day, we tried to be helpful so I messed around with daddy's phone and set the alarm to go off (multiple times) starting at 6:26 am. I wanted to get a jump on the day. Our goal was to make coffee and fresh baked blueberry muffins from scratch. We got a good start on the blueberry muffins mixing the wet and the dry ingredients in separate bowls, but daddy mixed-up the salt and sugar. We put a half-cup of salt in the mix and had to scratch the entire batch. Because we were short on time, daddy went to the store to grab a box of muffin mix. To make mommy really happy, I woke her up again to see if she wanted to play Nintendo Wii with me. Needless to say, it wasn't the greatest start to a Mother's Day that we had hoped for.
We did go to the park and spent some quality time together. Christopher ended-up making a giant mud puddle in mommy's garden, and neither of us took our naps. We sort of made a mess of the place and by the end of the day, mommy was washing the floors and cooking dinner. Daddy, Christopher and I are going back to the drawing board to plan our strategy for next year.
We did want to say Happy Mothers Day to our Grammy, Dubby, and Grandpa Paula! We love you. Thank you all for everything that you do for us. If you haven't received our cards we are sorry for the delay. We tried buying them a week early, but got carried away with the weekdays and never put them into the mail. This will also go into our planning notes for next year!
