New Beginnings (week 238)

On the weekend of the 10th Anniversary of September 11th, we kicked-off the football season and the soccer season. It was also the weekend of my first sleep over. In fact, Jackson came to my house and we slept in the living room on blow-up mattresses but it was a major step in the right direction and the beginning of an entirely new era in our lives.

Opening day in soccer primarily centers around picture day. The Silver Sharks did pretty well, getting both coaches and six of our seven players to the field. The AYSO Region 114 also has a big carnival with games and bounce houses...and churros. We ate a lot of bad food, had fun, and got our pictures taken. The season kicks-off next week with practices on Wednesdays and a 25 minute game each Saturday. Daddy is our coach which works out pretty well. Michelle (Jackson's mommy) is our Team Mom which is good because his house is across the street from the field where we play. All-in-all, it is pretty much exactly as one would expect it!
