This weekend, we took a short family vacation to Palm Springs for a work-related retreat. We don't often sign-up for stuff that lands all four of us in a hotel room together, but it worked out really well. Dada had a golf tournament and some dinners to go to, but otherwise we were able to spend almost the entire time in-and-out of the pool. We are still not the best at hanging-out at restaurants, but we are certainly not the worst either. The best was that the Modicas, including Max and Lena were also there. So we weren't the only babies.
It was a big step forward with regard to my swimming. I still wear my big vest, but for the first time I started to push away from the swimming pool stairs and venture into the middle of the pool. It started with jumping out to dada. Then, riding on his back around the pool. Eventually, I was able to paddle on my own and cross the entire poback-and-forth. At one point, Christopher (who also loves the pool and is totally fearless), escaped from both the pool and his pants. He was finally caught, totally naked, crawling across the lawn. He still does not want to walk, but he is super fast when he wants to get away.
