This week I went on my first school field trip to Tanaka Farms, where we picked strawberries. We didn't bring too many home because we ate almost everything that we picked along the way. A lot of the parents went on the field trip as chaperons, including mama and Christopher. The field trip didn't begin well with lots of kids crying in the parking lot at St. Lukes.
We took a big yellow school bus to the Tanaka Farms, and once there got to ride on a big tractor. We learned all about farming even though I am not a huge fan of fruits and vegetables. The most terrifying thing (that I still talk about), was the big white crosses and scarecrows. They were supposed to scare away the birds, but they did a better job of scaring away the kids on the field trip. They looked like giant white crucifixes silhouetted against the sky.Project Little Brother (week 20)
Christopher is getting much bigger...in fact, he weighs over (17.5) pounds and is a big lover of the bottle. He doesn't sleep well and still requires (2-3) feedings each night (which drives dada and mama crazy). No matter how little sleep he gets at night though, he wakes-up each morning as happy as a lark; and is still the social butterfly of the family.
