My Cousin Eli made it to California! This past weekend, I got to go-up to Grandma and Grandpa Huston's house on the Central Coast. To my surprise, Cousin Eli had moved from New Mexico and was living with Grandma at the house with the barn, the windmill and the chickens. Lucky him!At first, he hit me repeatedly in the head and got (5) time-outs (he has to sit with an egg timer going for two minutes on the staircase). I think he felt a little threatend that he had to share his toys with me. Eventually, we got it worked-out and had a great time making parades and playing on the piano. I think it is good that Cousin Eli and I are going to be able to see each other a lot more these days.
On Saturday, Grandma and I went to the Children's Museum and spent time at the Spirit of San Luis restaurant at the San Luis Obispo Airport. We watched little airplanes take-off and land, and even saw a giant helicopter on the ground. Sunday morning, we went to church and got a donut with sprinkles. Afterwards, we all went to Pismo Beach and played soccer...until I fell in the water and got a sand rash in my diaper. I was so exhausted that I barely made it through lunch and a shower before sleeping almost all the way back to Long Beach.
It was great to get home and play baseball on my new tee-ball set in the backyard. We went on a walk together and got in-touch with the neighborhood. Dada was a little disapointed since a neighbor ran into his car while we were gone, but we got ready for the week ahead by shaving together and reading "Are You My Mother"?
Word of the Week Hows It Going? Basic greeting, used in combination with good morning or hi for people either familiar or unfamiliar.
