The Bay Shore Children's Choir is back in action for the new year with a new play "Rescue in the Night" about Daniel and the Lion's Den. This is likely the last year of Children's Choir for Ben given that he will be in the 5th grade next year but we regularly have 16-20 kids show up for the rehearsal, and it looks like it is going to be another hilarious production with great costumes and lots of missed cues. Since Ben is the oldest, he claimed the lead spot of Daniel while I am one of the heralded 'Heralds' in the play. In fact, there are a bunch of us that chime-in when someone is introduced to King Darius.
In other news, Dad started playing in an 'Over 35' men's soccer league in Los Alamitos on Wednesday nights. The games are super late at night (either 800 pm or 900 pm), and Dad is really sore, with giant blisters, and his team isn't very good. We have also started playing baseball again--mostly in the cages since it is raining all the time--but it is good to put on my baseball glove and throw the ball around when it is dry out. I am on the Orioles with Nathan Huber again, and we have a number of guys returning from last year. Not sure how we will do but I am excited for another year!
