Happy Birthday Mommy! (week 322)

Talk about an awesome week!  February is one of my favorite months because it includes Valentines Day, Presidents holidays, Mommy's birthday, and of course the big daddy of them all: my birthday!  This year, February has been particularly good because Uncle Mark and Aunt Leah came out to stay with us and we had a blast.  Mommy and Daddy say that I have the best life in the history of kids.  This week was a pretty good example of why.

Early in the week, Mommy picked me up from school and we snuck off to Knott's Berry Farm.  It had been a few months, so it was an exciting surprise.  We went on all our family favorites but didn't tell Chirstopher when we picked him up from St. Lukes in the afternoon.  To add to the awesomeness of the week, Uncle Mark arrived a day later and (with Chris), we all snuck off to Disneyland on Friday.  This time Christopher came and he was just tall enough to make it on Space Mountain for the first time.  We hit the Tiki  Room (no crying), and had a good time with Uncle Mark  Two theme parks in the same week!

On Saturday, Aunt Leah arrived and we hit the park for over two hours!  The entire Lily Family came to our house (three more kids and two babies), to have a barbecue in the afternoon.  We had a good time playing basketball and catch in the backyard but Aunt Leah got really sick.  On Sunday, I finally got to take Uncle Mark to the YMCA!  Almost bigger than Disneyland, the YMCA gym has been my recent obsession and I wanted to share it with Uncle Mark.  We played some basketball and got it out of our system.  Mommy and Daddy went out for dinner to celebrate her birthday while Uncle Mark babysat both us and Aunt Leah.  Luckily, we just finished the playroom this week so there was a place for her to hide and catch-up on her sleep.  

On Monday,  had a big party for Mommy.  All of our neighborhood family and friends came over for pesto, pasta, and chocolate cake. Christopher and I made birthday cards--with super heroes and Wonder Woman on the front.  Happy 37th Birthday Mommy!

Another big breakthrough happened this month.  I am happy and a little saddened to announce that Chris has officially retired his famous "Cars Cup".  There wasn't actually any indication that the cup was related to the movie Cars for the last year of its life but the Cars Cup carried hundreds of cups of milk for Christopher over its lifetime.  It has a particular smooth plastic feel to it and made a comforting sound that Christopher loved.  It ended-up lost under Daddy's car seat for a couple of weeks and Christopher began to live without it.  When it was finally found, it could not be salvaged.  Like when my nook-nook was ready to go, the Cars Cup had a good run and will forever be alive in our hearts.
