It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown (week 245)

My fifth Halloween was definitely the most successful when it came to the candy collection. Armed with a giant orange plastic pumpkin, we took to the streets of Lakewood in Nathan's neighborhood. Moving much more quickly than in past years--running in fact--we were able to cover a lot more ground and to pile-up the candy a lot more quickly than ever. Jackson and Nathan were a Transformer and Spider Man respectively, while I made my best attempt at being a Dragon. My original request was to be a lizard, but as fate would have it mama found a great Dragon costume on sale that proved sufficient.

Christopher also proved to be a prolific candy collector. Originally prepared to be a cupid we couldn't get him to wear his wings. His second costume was a full-body puppy costume (he was very soft), but he didn't like the headgear. Finally, he ended-up hitting the streets in a very weak baseball uniform.

We are not sure if they are connected, but Halloween was followed by a bought with Bronchitis for me and Croup for Chris. This resulted in my first missed soccer game. Word has it that the Silver Shark four game winning streak was snapped and we fell 3-2 to a good team.
