Weekend at Grannies (week 221)

Mommy and Daddy headed-out to the desert for their annual USC reunion so Christopher and I headed north to San Luis Obispo with Grandma Paula and Grandpa Mike. Our goal was to build a big baseball stadium in the field and to spend some time with Cousin Eli and Cousin Sophie. It is getting easier and easier for us to spend time away from our parents which is good for everyone to catch our breath, but it was sure good to see them when they came to pick-us-up on Sunday afternoon. Christopher in particular has about two good days and nights in him before he starts to get mommy-sick. You should have seen his face when our parents showed-up. He ran them around the ranch to show them to pond, chickens, dogs, and barn.

Cousin Eli and I have definitely hit a new era in our relationship and have a great time hanging-out with one another. In the past, we did more playing on our own and sometimes competing for toys. We had a blast together this time around. Cousin Eli even started playing baseball with me and helped to build the baseball field with Grandpa Mike. We went to a baseball camp for the day up at Cal Poly and got to play with the big kids. While our push-ups still need a lot of work, we have turned a big corner in our relationship.

Christopher is starting to say more-and-more. In fact, he popped-off his first full sentence this week when mommy was loading him into Grandma Paula's car. As he was getting snapped-into his chair he said as clear as day: "I love you." Christopher is also spending a lot more time following me and Cousin Eli around. He loves to do whatever we are doing. Sometimes it is frustrating, but he seems very content to chase us around and copy whatever we do.
