Christmas is coming and Christopher has broken-out his first word: hot! We have all been waiting to see what he would choose to start with and it makes sense that as a lover of eating, Christopher has selected a word that he hears as a warning against jumping right into a steaming pancake or plate of macaroni. It sounds more like "ought" with an emphasis on the consonant 'T' and just a hint of a silent 'H'. Either way, he is moving right along and is definitely trying to say much more.
The irony is that it is getting colder and colder. On Saturday, we went to the ice rink and I had my first experience ice skating. It was very hard at first, but I held dada's hand and we made it around a few time.

There was lots of cupcakes, cookies, and brownies to make it a littler easier. Uncle Mark and Aunt Leah helped with both the skating and the eating!
With only a few days left until Christmas, we have been moving the snowflake down the calendar each morning and receiving boxes from the postman by the dozen. It seems like our garage has almost filled-up entirely with packages from New York. I am not allowed to go down there, but rumor has it that Dubby Clause (my grandma in New York), is keeping the post service in business with her flurry of last-minute activity.

Everyone at school, work, and home is excited for the big day. It has been raining for almost an entire week with record amounts of water falling from the sky. This has added to the craziness as we are all trapped inside the house and classroom at St. Lukes. Dada says that he is going to take time off from work over the next week to spend time at home and to play with Christopher and me. It is definitely my favorite time of the year!
