Tales from the Crib (Week 64)

Have I been busy or what? This weekend was full of family celebrations and ceremonies. Today alone, I joined Bayshore Church (as the youngest member to have my own name tag); went to my first Long Beach Pride Parade; ate a quesidilla at the new Chronic Tacos; ate snow cones on the front lawn; blew bubbles; swam in the kiddy-pool; and took a long walk on Second Street until 9:00 PM at night!

On Saturday, we went to a wedding shower for my dad's cousin Laura and had empanadas and Aquavit! My cousin Eli was there (he traveled all the way from New Mexico). There were also more grandma's, aunts and uncles than you can imagine...plenty of people tho hang out with and give me attention. There were giant gold fish called koy in my uncles pond that we tried to catch with our hands but we never caught one!

On Friday, we celebrated my Grandpa Keisler's 58th birthday at my Great-grandma's house in North Long Beach. My cousin Eli had just arrived that day, so we ran through the sprinklers in the backyard in our diapers and had an awesome time eating fried chicken. Perfect afternoon.

It has been hot! I don't think I have ever felt temperatures this hot. It has been over 100 degrees a couple of days and I have had to sleep in my onesie at night. As a result of the heat, there have been mosquitoes sneaking into our apartment at night and biting everyone. In any case, it has been a good week.
